SAEGERTOWN BRIDGE + ROUND-A-BOUT PROJECT

The State Route 198 Bridge over French Creek, was Value Engineered by Clearwater eliminating wildlife disturbance while saving PennDOT and the Taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars and precious time in eliminating detours.

Clearwater utilized our specialty foundation experience by installing Micro-pile Foundations in addition to Soldier Beam and Pre-cast Concrete Lagging Retaining Walls. The bridge tied in to a large Round-a-bout at one end, which allowed traffic to flow smoothly at the formerly congested intersection.

This project was awarded the 2018 TQI Community Connection Award for a highly successful solution to a long-running congestion problem, effectively increasing traffic flow and enhancing mobility.
