TRANSFORM 66 SUPPORT OF EXCAVATION

GEORGE B. FLEGAL DAM + RESERVOIR
Serving as a subcontractor to the Kanawha Stone Company, Inc., Clearwater Construction is responsible for the construction of an emergency spillway at the Cobun Creek Dam No. 1 and 2.
SOUTH LEATHERWOOD BRIDGE REPLACEMENT
This project included the replacement of the existing structure carrying SR 861 over Leatherwood Creek with a two lane, single span Composite Prestressed Concrete Bulb-Tee Beam Bridge.
SAEGERTOWN BRIDGE + ROUND-A-BOUT PROJECT
The State Route 198 Bridge over French Creek, was Value Engineered by Clearwater eliminating wildlife disturbance while saving PennDOT and the Taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars and precious time in eliminating detours.
LOW/NO OVERHEAD SPECIALTY MICROPILES
Clearwater Construction served as a subcontractor to Manhattan Construction for the installation of micropiles associated with the renovation of the Naval Research Laboratory Building 75.
BRANDYWINE CREEK BRIDGE
This project included the replacement of Street Rd. Bridge over Brandywine Creek and replacement of an existing under-designed large diameter pipe with a double cell precast arch structure at Radley Run.
PYMATUNING DAM REHABILITATION
Clearwater was contracted by the PA DCNR to rehabilitate the dam and gatehouse at Pymatuning State Park. Pymatuning State Park is the largest state park in Pennsylvania, covering more than 21,000 acres in Crawford County.
MON WHARF SWITCHBACK BRIDGE
The Mon Wharf Switchback Ramp is a Riverlife project in partnership with the City of Pittsburgh to fill a vital missing link in downtown Pittsburgh’s riverfront park and trail system.
FREEPORT ROAD BRIDGE REPLACEMENT
This project is in a highly congested area between Sharpsburg and Aspinwall, PA with adjacent on and off ramps to the Highland Park Bridge over the Allegheny River.
MONROE COUNTY BRIDGE REPLACEMENT
This project, located on US Route-209 over Appenzell Creek in Stroudsburg, PA, involved a very high-speed traffic situation, where two merge zones of 2 lanes each merge into one 2-lane work zone.
EWINGS MILL BRIDGE [DRILLING]
Utilizing pipe boring to maintain stream flow without disrupting traffic, Clearwater built a drilled caisson shoring wall, alleviating the need for additional roadway excavation in a tight, high-speed traffic situation.
EWINGS MILL BRIDGE REPLACEMENT
This project’s purpose was to remedy an extremely difficult traffic situation and included the replacement of the existing structure carrying US 422 over Laurel Run.
POCONO LAKE BRIDGE REPLACEMENT
This project included the replacement of a decaying two-span bridge over Pocono Lake Preserve. Due to a NASCAR event at the Pocono Raceway, the Phase 1 completion date was of paramount importance.
ROSEMONT AVENUE BRIDGE
This project included the replacement of the Rosemont Ave. Bridge over Darby Creek with construction of a single span, composite pre-stressed concrete spread box beam bridge on spread footings.
WESTVIEW WATER AUTH. | MICROPILE INSTALLATION
This project was a Design Build redesign installation of 20 each seven- inch .408 wall micropiles 75 feet deep along the Monongahela River in very dense silty sand alluvial deposits with cobbles and boulders.
R. J. CORMAN TRAIL RAIL BRIDGE
This project included the replacement of a deteriorated 3-span bridge with a new single span structure over the Ghost Town Bike Trail, which is the former RJ Corman RR Rail bed.
COLD SPRINGS CREEK BRIDGE REPLACEMENT
Clearwater was awarded this $3.4M contract for the removal and replacement of an existing structure over Cold Springs Creek in Whitehall Township by PennDOT.
